HO / 30 degree crossing
May 16, 2011, 01:54:07 PM
My wife just bought me a 30 degree crossing at a yard sale bless her heart. It says that it is the center piece for a figure 8. I don't wish to use a figure 8 in my layout as I have already started building my layout. Does anyone have any ideas how to use this other than a figure 8? I am drawing a blank. Any help would be highly appreciated.

HO / Single Train Power

Hello,
As I am new to the hobby, I have a question? How many sections of EZ Track can you hook up to one power pack? I read somewhere that if you have a lot of track in your layout then you need to run extra wires. If this is true how would you do this? I don't want to burn anything up. Please help.

It is the plywood that has bowed. It does not affect the operation of the train it just don't look as flat as i want. I used 2x4's turned up edge ways to pull most of the bow out. I agree that any fastner ran into the edge of plywood will split.

Thanks for all the feed back. This is a great forum for new members who are just getting started in the hobby. I went by my local hobby shop today and picked up a bargain on two hopper cars that fit my theme.

I need some advise. I used a sheet of 4 x 8 x 3/4 inch plywood for my layout. I also used 2 x 4's around the perimeter and across 2 feet on centers. The problem I am having is my plywood and 2 X's were straight when i picked it out at the lumber yard, but now my top has a bow in it. I really don't want to start over but if I need to OK. Is there anything I can do? I thought of using bridge piers that would give the appearance of a bridge but in fact my track would be level.

Thanks,

Wes

I am looking for a bridge that is compatible with the ez track system. I am most interested in a wood trestle type but anything might work.

Thanks,

I ordered two each of the right and left hand remote turn outs. do I need any other special equipment to use them? Also how do you hook them up?

HO / Historic Era
January 13, 2011, 12:11:08 PM
I got a 0-6-0 Union Pacific Locomotive with Slope tender for Christmas and I can't find what era this model was made or used. I would like to maybe build my layout and scenery for this era. It was the Pacific Flyer Prod. # 00692. Any help would be appriciated. I am so excited to get started as I am new to the hobby and want to take my time and do it right.

Thanks,
