Several years ago, Bachmann made an HO caboose with a slanted copula, most all the ones I see are done with Santa Fe lettering. I have 10 of them, but repainted for my favorite RR.
This model is almost dead on for the CB&Q (Burlington) waycar (that's what the Q called 'em) class NE-12. These waycars were painted in several paint schemes by the Q, silver with a red stripe and large logo, silver with no red stripe but with the large logo and orange with black lettering for MOW service.
Has there been any thought of bring this out in O GAUGE, don't really care what it is lettered, because I would repaint and letter several of 'em as I am changing from HO to O.

Do you have any pictures sounds like a really excellent caboose!!!

I'm not sure what you mean by a "slanted" cupola. Do you mean one with two flat surfaces for the roof which have an angle in the middle? Or ... ?

I believe he is talking about this style: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=cb+q+caboose+photos&id=15094BE4AEBE5D7489D1A2F025E69D20D9360515&FORM=IQFRBA#view=detail&id=99D818396BC306C5194030E69DBA5E7470EDCE12&selectedIndex=26
that is a very modern looking caboose . It looks like it was designed to minimize air friction . Were many of them manufactured ? John II.
EBT, I think you're right about the prototype:

CB&Q wasn't the only road to have a streamlined cupola. The Wabash and associated roads such as the Ann Arbor, and the Norfolk & Western (inheriting the Wabash cars) also had cabooses of this same general appearance, although the window arrangement is considerably different, more like the off-center cupola cabooses Santa Fe used.

Have fun.
I feel that a new caboose is over due for O gauge by Bachmann/Williams.
Less than half the railroads ever ran the N5C caboose, most used other designs, and so we too should have better caboose choices just like H.O. has!
