Steamgene sorry to hear your dad got caught up in ferrying with washington officials for a spell and so forth. No kid needs to hear nothing like that about his own dad growing up and if he was in the military way harder for him to you see. You heard the same thing about the nuclear molecules proofed hideout and the question becomes did they coat there girders and your right i dont have a clue i just guessed they did. Thanks

Your steel girders on highway bridges probably have different coatings as you go west in Virginia in that era you see. Rumor had it in the late 50s the railroad and government cooked up a secret to build a nuclear molecule proofed hideout for the washington suits under a hotel like the cave under wayne manner and so forth for when the commies shot nuclear bombs at us. I talked with a guy once whos sister lived by there and saw it being built and when you asked what there building alls theyd say is there building a male clinic. Id figure if they built a hideout there theyd also use girders on the roads the suits take to get there that can hold up getting hit with nuclear molecules without falling down you see so id expect nuclear molecule proofed coatings on the girders from the 50s as you get further west. This stuff can range in colors. Thanks.

BO separate your wires because your system is sending signals to your engine and if your computer wires are real close they get in each and others way and pick up stuff from each other you see. Thats why if your ever watching bill oriley or other guys on tv and you hear stuff that sounds like interference on your set somtimes its because they have there blackberry to close to the transmit lines and when there blackberry gets to transmitting the other lines pick up interference and so forth. Same thing happens if your talking to a chick on the phone and your blackberrys too close then shell hear noise and think your up to stuff you see. Thanks.

woundedbear has got hiself in a wide stance with his hemroids flared up about this c5 crash and his steamgeniecakes you see. what kind a clown thinks you can crash a c5 and keep pictures of it out of the news and so forth. The dover delaware air base is close enough to fort mead nsa so they can keep an eye on the whole thing and they probably have satelite pictures of the freaks caused by the nuclear molecules by now if they exist. Thanks.

steamgene i said i meant my remarks with all do respect to yourself and your service and so forth. I didnt know you are a lawyer and got a ab degree in this stuff and thats real nice but what the heck did you do with all that learning. At least your attitude is good even if it dont cure cancer or fix your jewels. there is a real problem in this counrty that oldtimers were hosed and now we all have to pay for it but its not your fault and we appreciate your service you see. Dover air base is in dover delaware which is the first state and so forth located on the east coast betwwen maryland and pennsylvania. All our dead go there from the war to there morge. dover downs race track also is there. I know some guys that hunt with guys who go around there. its also very close to the beach area where families and there kids go so messing with nuclear things to see what happens is crazy. i read plenty about the c5 crash there and enough to know something is rotten in denmark on this. the real issue here is again with respect to yourself and your comments is nuclear trains is a bad idea and i appreciate you chiming in about about your ab and lawyer work but i really dont think that changes anything. you seem like a fairly bright person though. steamgene you see i dont mean no disrespect to yourself and us citizens all appreciate your service but if your retired military your probably an oldtimer that didnt go to high level formal education after high school and when you joined up and they told you just go out there and watch this bomb and dont worry about nothing like critical mass or nuclear molecules you did what everybody did and just took the order and watched the bomb then wondered why you got cancer or your testes quit and so forth. same as the guys they gave lsd to. Bottom line is if the rumor is right and the military is crashing jumbo planes at dover to test nuclear jet engines and it leads to hairless foxs and other freak animals imagine what its doing to the people that live around there and even the gomer pyles they picked to crash the planes. So anybody that thinks nuclear trains is a good idea should take a lesson and so forth. Thanks.

Spilling nuclear molecules and critical mass from a train engine is a problem you see. rumor had it the military is working on a nuclear jet engine and to test the problem they crashed a C5 with nuclear engines into a field near the morge at dover delaware air base a couple years ago and the field was tested and found a lot a nuclear molecules after the crash. theres also talk around the hunting lodges there about freak animals now around the dover air base like hairless foxs and geese born without no heads and feathers and so forth. typical military stunt of gomer pyles from bozo military schools testing there concoctions without telling nobody or real scientists until its to late and people are poisoned and made freaks and so forth. Private company security can prevent this you see.

Nuclear train engines wont fly because bad accidents could spill nuclear molecules and make katrina and exon valdez look like baby barf. On security the private companies are the best way to go because they test all there guards for intelligence and alcohol and drugs and backgrounds. Any retired military guys that want to work for the company have to get tested to so you dont end up alot of them that are dumb or drunk or slackers on government cheese. We have a saying milatary retired an edsel re-tired.

bradkt physical concepts of your lay out are free creations of your human mind and not however it may seem uniquely determined by the external world and so forth. think alot about it before you start to get your tracks laid and switches. You also want to think about era and other stories you see.

bradkt, how will you arrange the 2 4x8 sheets. If you plan to but them thats one thing or stack them as a double deck is another. Is this for a club or just your own self.

Wayne carson thompson wrote the letter about romantic teen age love and eshewing train travel for more expaditious means of travel. Hes a great writer and has alot of great stuff and its good to listen to when your running trains in your club or your layout and so forth.

You need to get you a module for every loop you see. Hard wired into each train and so forth is not necessary anymore with dcc and the ez command. Most of your common modules found today will tell you that and spell it out in the directions and diagrams. Carefully note the specs you see. I wont get into the details here but modules do alot we used to do by hand with alot more trouble and fuss and wire.

Your scientists working for the railroad have charts on this because you need to figure out before you go up a mountain if your going to crap out half way up. Before charts it was all on feel by engineers and thats how the top of mountains got called peeks because some engineers wouldnt look until the felt the engine get to the top. But basically the science equations your talking about here are more less the ones used.
