Hi
I have recently bought a Bachmann Ho scale toby the tram engine
it's the new Uk specification one with the next 18 DCC socket
when he's running he is very noisy like a grinding sound inside . with the body removed he is a lot quieter
I have run him in for a few hours each way a have put a little hobby lube on the gears i could get to but it makes no difference.
has anyone had this problem and how did they fix it ?
hi - I am in UK , and have all the new 00/H0 Bachmann Thomas , Toby is the noisy engine , maybe because of the box like body acting as a sound box , it is a nice slow (on analog DC) runner apart from the 'whine'
I have run in but not lubed/oiled yet.
also of note , when compared to the Hornby Toby it is a better smaller size , also Bill & Ben in Hornby are wider than Hornby's Toby .
