Title: Climax motor
Post by: johnnyutah on February 05, 2008, 07:54:35 AM
Does anybody know if the motor in a climax is a common one? I know the model is no longer produced, I was just hoping someone could tell me if Bachmann use this motor in other locos, or was this only produced for the climax, if so I am guessing it is no longer. I have fired off an email to the service dept, but I was looking for additional input FAST!

Did Bachmann ever produce a Climax in H0?  If you are thinking of the recent large scale Climax, try posting on the Large Scale board.

Yes, Jim....they did...I had two running on my layout. Trouble is, they are OOP now. The last one, I sent in for cracked gears and was sent back a Shay as a replacement.

Would the On30 Climax have the same motor?

Sid
