Thanks Bill
I just ordered a Revolution set in Diesel.  I will go ahead and order a couple for my
K-27's
I will let you know once I try the set with Steam.
Input from other would be nice.

Does the Aristo Craft Revolution receiver work in the K-27 as a plug in system?

Last year, we made it to Durango and saw the engines. Under full steam it will bring tears to your eyes. I have 2 of the Bachmann K-27's, but I've never seen them run. My layout should be back up and running soon.

Bill, I have a small river back of my home, but the deer have it easier to drink from my pond. I had heard of the flower trick, but wasn't sure if I believed it.
We're already planning our trip to York in September, hope you make it.

Mark, I have a thief problem here. I never lock my doors until a crack head moved next door. I turned her in to the state police and they did nothing. A local g scalier drops by and takes what he wants. brite lights and a camera......
I decided to plant barberry bushes around the house and fix it so you have to go through my house to get to the trains.
Every one says to use weed block, but I've never had much luck with it.

Crusher fines seem to be the best way to ballast. You should know that using screws or nails to hold your track, summer heat will pop the rails from the ties.
I tried treated 2 by 6's and it work fine on the curves. If you use wood on long sections brace the wood on the bottom or it will warp.

Bill that's a good suggestion, I can't believe I didn't think of it. I need to replace over a hundred feet of ties.
My layout's been down for a couple years, I had to hire a couple guys to repair it. I hope to have it running this week.
Thanks

The track is Aristo brass. Over the years, lawn mowers and deer have done a job on my track.
I went to one of the sites suggested and their prices are out of this world. They remind me of the place that advertises LGB repair. They bill me $75 an hour to work on an engine.

I have a lot of bent track, will a rail bender be of any use to straighten some of it. Who makes a good bender.

I was at the show, but I didn't see enought. Last night I read Kevin's article in Garden Railways on the Aristo TE and I'm convinced that's the way to go. Today on the Aristo Forum I learn that Lewis is adding sound on to the TE receivers. That will save a ton of money.
I was never interested in battery operation. A Li Po battery that cost me $79.99 a couple years ago can now be bought on line for less than $10. The battery was a 2200ma 3 cell.  I want a K-27 battery powered to clean track.

Kevin, I didn't see you at York!  There was a lot to see, I sit a short spell with Lewis Polk. He's nice people.

Kevin I have a DCC system for HO trains. I traded for it and a bunch of trains. Do you know what I would have to have to rc control a K-27.  I'm rebuilding a layout and moneys going to be short for awhile.
I'd like to see the Aristo unit, but no one I know has one.
Hey how about an article from you on how to install an Aristo unit and make a battery car.

I liked the plans that gardentexture.com has.
Glue and nail. You can drill holes and glue small dowel rods in the bents.

A friend ask me to find out what Kadee coupler fit the three truck Shay
Also for me, what Kadee fits the K-27
How should I remote control a K-27 with battery power. The only thing I have now is the Aristo TE.
