Post by: rubiranch on April 11, 2013, 07:30:11 PM
does the locomotive have metal or plastic rods??  And does the tender have one or two electrical leads?
I was asked these two questions and don't know the answers - any help would be great
thanks :)

A question, do you own this engine, or are you thinking about buying it?  Chuck

I own it and I am selling it but it is 175 miles from me so I can't look at it myself.
Someone interested in buying it asked.
Bought it several years ago and never took the train out of the box - it's the Durango Silverton Passenger Train

Your Durango & Silverton Passenger set 90058 Locomotive has plastic siderods, but the chassis is the very smooth running Version 5 chassis.  The tender has two leads, one for the chuff sensor marked "sound" and the other is the lead for the rear headlight marked "lights"

There is a battery needed in the coal car. It is a 9 volt battery and it powers the sound system.
