Title: G Scale Gandy Dancer Hand Car
Post by: snanderson on August 09, 2016, 12:34:18 PM
I am in the process of converting my G Scale Gandy Hand Car to remote control using a 11.1v Li-ion battery. The vendor I chose to supply the remote control decoder id CVP Products AirWire. I emailed AirWire asking if the uAWM15 microMOTION decoder would work for my conversion. AirWire emailed me back asking this question:

How much current does the motor draw when the wheels are slipping? This is measured in amps. Once the slip current is determined then the decision can be made as to which of the AirWire products to use.

Can anyone tell me the G Scale Gandy Hand Car AMP when the wheels start slipping?

Can't be answered as every motor is different depending on many factors such as age, cleanliness, lubrication, etc. Your only solution is to get a multi-meter and measure the amperage for your own engine.

You may get better responses if you post this in the G Section of the board.
