General Discussion / Re: Layouts of foam

Grumpy, You CAN I was at a train expo at The Long Beach convention center a few years back and one of the Modules had a Cloud made of cotton and a twister made of pillow lining which would spin down out of the cloud and then move across the module. all while a strobe light and thunder sounds simulated lightning. it was pretty neat. of coarse I say NEAT while sitting here in sunny California.

My 5 year old has dark brown hair to her bottom. I think I just discovered the perfect material to use. I just wonder what my wife  will say about the bald spot on her little head.

what is missing that I have seen in photos is a small foot ledge maybe 6" to 10" wide and a hand hold that ran at about the 10 and 2 oclock position on the tank when veiwed from the from the front it led to a ladder and sometimes a small platform out in front. the ledge and hand hold look ok on photos I have seen but the ladder and platform with guard rail were not very pleasing to the eye.

try that brunswick green over a white primer coat and it will look nice, base primer makes a big difference.

I just started converting a 4-6-0 into a 0-6-0 sidetank loco and had to cut the smoke box there is a lot of room inside but I did have to cut part of the weight so I could remount the smoke unit but I shortened the unit drastically and if you don't need smoke its no problem at all.

Good luck

Thanks for your reply I would assume so also. I just don't want to get bit by the bean counter lets save a penny on this kit mentality and get plastic hand rails when I was expecting metal, really my only complaint about the bachmann cars I have right now is the flimsy always bent plastic handrails, of coarse if I were not  so lazy I guess  I could fab my own.

Hi, I notice that the new g scale passenger cars feature metal hand rails, do the kits for these also feature metal hand rails. also are there now or ever going to be spectrum passenger cars?

Thanks

1. What is the min. track radius to run an ET & WNC spectrum 2 6 0 Mogul Smoothly pulling 3 big hauler Passenger cars. Of the same RR name by Bachmann?

2. Running dc only what are the recommended sound units/manufacturers/kits for this Loco? is there a drop in no fuss unit out there?

3. Where can I get a manual for this Beautiful Loco?

Thanks for all the replies I will order one so I can have it when Loco arrives
