Title: EMD E7 shell removal
Post by: nwbatman on September 26, 2018, 10:32:29 PM
What is the procedure for removing the shell from the EMD E7 locomotive?
I've removed the coupler mounting screws and spread the shell, using toothpicks to hold it away from the chassis, but it doesn't come loose...

If you remove the fuel tank cover you should find the screws that are holding the shell to the chassis.

Look underneath for black, phillips screws that hold the shell on. I don't recall removing couplers or the fuel tank.  Screws will be tight the first time.

Jonathan may well the be the resident detailer of Bachmann locomotives here, especially for his beloved Baltimore & Ohio!!  His work in detailing the Bachmann E7 can be seen in the link below.
