Title: Paint scheme feedback
Post by: sedfred on March 05, 2017, 02:46:02 PM
I came up with this paint scheme for my ho scale F9 to be repainted in. After literally dozens of different paint scheme variations i created ranging from okay to terrible i finally settled on this:   https://www.flickr.com/photos/141984945@N08/33114115972/in/dateposted-public/

There are two variations but i'm leaning towards the one on the left. What do you think of it? Keep in mind the lettering would be smaller but that's the smallest i could get it

I do like the one on the left better.  I think I would run the band out to the end of the unit, and just cut it off.   That way when you get to the hood units you have the band on the sides and just pain the ends.  Just a thought.

I'm with RAM, the one on the left looks better to me. And I would also suggest running the stripe to the end of the unit. Then if you decide to add 'B' units, the stipe would run end-to-end and blend together.
