Title: Dcc in Rail truck #82394
Post by: dlb on February 11, 2012, 06:27:01 PM
Has anyone put a decoder in a rail truck?
I have tried digitrax, massoth and massoth m decoders with out
Any real success.  In all cases the motor goes from stop to full speed in 1 step, reacts real slow
And will not run reverse.  I tried to lower (cv 5) max speed but no change.
I have never had this problem with other engines.

Suggestions????

David

The problem was the Bachmann  wiring diagram is incorrect.
I had to wire the decoder direct to the motor and not through the
Connections shown on the diagram.  The fix is documentated
On Greg Elmassian's site.
