Is the 2-10-4 a new Spectrum engine or is it just a Standard upgraded to faux Spectrum standards like the Pennsy 4-6-2?
Too bad no new real Spectrum locos have been announced, like long awaited "moderm" and "old" versions of a 2-6-0.
A 2-10-4,
Well if it is a Spectrum or Standard will not matter as I am only interested in the smaller steamers.
I was so looking forward to a Spectrum 2-6-0 or a 2-6-2.
Unless one of the other manufactures are debuting small steamers I am out of luck.
mmmmmmmmm
M.T.A. double decker cars
are these the C3 cars the L.I.R.R. runs
in service
i hope so
good luck john t brooklyn ny

ive seen the photos of the new commuter car
im disappointed this is not an american car
but there chinese double decker
why is bachmann trying to push it off as an
push pull commuter car and to show it as a
so called M.T.A. name.
this is about prototypical as tycos GG1 of the 1980s
not happy john t brooklyn ny
The 2-10-4 looks good, the 45 Tonner looks shmazing, I'm glad they are reissuing the 44 Tonners, Excursion Cars look alright albeit not prototypical... John, could you share the photos of the Bi-Levels?
The excursion cars are prototypical.
The cars were more than likely a design made by passenger car maker Jackson & Sharp, and used on a few early lines who hauled tourists.
The obvious choice for making this design versus anything else (cough, cough, Cass Scenic Railroad, cough) is that these cars have a more old time feel to them, they could be kitbashed into other open air cars like trolleys, and that they are the exact cars that Walt Disney built for their train down in Florida.

Looking at the coaches MARC(Maryland's Commuter Railroad) uses VERY simular cars.
Nice to see more 1950's vehicles. Sylvan certainly produces quality kits. I assume those are HO. Am also very pleased to see True-Line Trains is now marketing paint for model railroaders.
That's exactly what the cars reminded me of when I saw them...look like MARC commuter cars.

So far, I could not find any pictures of the announced DDA40X.
The "Bachmann Gallery" as far as I can tell has none either.
Does anyone have a pointer to pics, or can share pics?
Thanks
