The sound decoder is for 32 ohms and has a 32 ohm capacitor.

Could you please tell me what a 32 ohm capacitor is? do you mean 32 uf (micro farad) capacitor? or 32 ohm resistor?

Hi can someone please give me your opinion on the differences between the dynamis, power cab, pro cab, prodigy express, prodidgy advance, and prodidgy advance2 as far as functions (capabilites) and ease of use go?
                                               thanks,

Just build your own booster, it is pretty much just an H-bridge. 8)

I have run more than 10 at a time 8) (they just slow down a bit) also it will not hurt to run more but if you run too many locos the system will restart (which is ok) and you have to start them all going again. also it is not hard to run that many at a time all you have to do it make a consist 8).

George, I assume Bachmann includes the conversion plugs ("jumpers") for the usual reason - to make the locomotive consistable with dc locomotives that do not have decoders installed.  With very few exceptions, decoders require some "overhead" when converting from DCC to dc, mostly because of the rectifier diodes involved.  This means that for a given track voltage, the motor in the decoder equipped locomotive receives less voltage than the one in the decoderless locomotive.  This it turn means the decoder equipped locomotive is not doing its share of work when consisted with a dc only locomotive and may actually damage it.

rectifier diodes only decrease the voltage by .7 volts.

I have hard wired a dual mode decoder and it operates on dcc and dc. I hope this answers your question.

Would you agree that the lights should be lite in the direction of travel? If so I can reverse the wiring hook-up for the lights.

Yes it should be lit in the direction of travel.
