Title: Harbor Name?
Post by: hotrainlover on August 18, 2007, 08:58:31 PM
Does anyone have knowledge of decals that are for harbors?  I have a water scene that has its own switchers.  I am hoping to find decals that said "Harbor", "Seaside", or even "Piers"; but cannot find them in HO scale.

I have tried Micsoscale, and walthers, to no avail..

Try Champ.  OTOH, "Harbor" has five letters and you could piece it together fairly easily.

Hey there HO lover (Didn't Don Imus get fired for saying something like that?)  Anyway...

Try: WEST INDIA FRUIT & STEAMSHIP CO.  They had a fleet of boxcars and reefers and they ran a ferry operation from Florida to Cuba.

Or how about the: NARRAGANSEDTT PIER RAILROAD

Also the: NEW YORK CROSS HARBOR RAILROAD

And the afore mentioned: INDIANA HARBOR BELT

"Harbor" has how many letters??
And if you think that is a challenge, try "Harbour".  People with Canadian/European backgrounds get stuck with the long version.  No wonder the Canadians complain a lot...  The Brits?  A stiff upper lip, and all
that rot...Eh?

Gene did not say five letters in a row, he just said five letters.  Anything you buy that comes in letters always has more than one of each letter, because some words just happen to require more than one of a certain letter.

Micro Scale letter sheets have multiples of each letter.

Only rules that can be bent!  :D  I don't try to run a Bachmann heavy Mountain on 15" radius track or use a Consolidation to pull 25 cars up a 4% slope.
