Title: Is your Thomas 77045 Brake Van Gloss Painted or Satin Painted?
Post by: Choobacca on May 21, 2012, 07:43:55 AM
Does anyone know if all the 77045 Brake Vans have satin painted bodies or have Bachmann made both satin and gloss versions?

I've also noticed that some Well Wagons are satin and others are gloss.

I'm pretty sure they only have one version. I remember my breakvan being gloss all over before I painted it black to be TVS accurate.  Just curious, where did you find out some wellwagons are satin and others are gloss?

Not sure about the models - but the only rolling stock that should be gloss would be passenger coaches. Since brake vans are part of the goods trains, it should be similarly weathered and finished flat. Take a look at the TV series. You should never see a glossy brake van.

Were the well wagons both in packaging?
