N / So apparently...
March 30, 2012, 05:09:29 PM
My first track laying went bad.  after letting the glue dry for over 24 hours somehow my track separated some in the joiners.  The train runs but when it gets to this area it clicks and slows for a sec.  Any advice before I rip it up and start again.

N / train stutters and stops

I am assuming my problem is resulting from loose rail joiners, causing spotty electrical stability.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

General Discussion / Code 83
January 30, 2012, 05:32:55 PM
After getting to go to a hobby shop that carries train stuff (130 miles away) and looking at the different types of track I settled on Atlas 83 flextrack for the main part of track.  Still need to do some research on the different turnouts before I decide on that part though.

HO / Wheel set
January 01, 2012, 03:36:07 PM
I have a Pacific flyer set.  I want to replace the plastic wheels with metal, I have gone through every paper it came with and while I can find the stock number to replace them with new plastic ones (2967) I can not find the size I need to get for the metal ones there are 2 different choices for wheels in HO scale.  36" and 33"  I have no idea which one I should purchase, I have tried using google to find the answer but it just directed me to vendors of this train.  Any help would be appreciated.  Please keep in mind I am new before bashing me if this is a stupid request.

This is the set. http://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/products.php?act=viewProd&productId=3091

I was looking in the product information section, at the track.  Does bachmann offer non e-z track for HO scale?  I didn't see it if they do.

General Discussion / Silly question
December 19, 2011, 10:04:49 PM
I am going to ask what I am sure is a silly question but I can't seem to find the answer.

What do the numbers stand for IE: 2-10-4  I assume it has something to do with the cars but am unsure.
