Large / 2011 Bachmann Catalog- V&T Silverado
February 26, 2011, 11:23:01 PM
Dear Mr. Bach-man,

I recognized that the V&T Silverado set is in the 2011 catalog on page 148-149 and is $475.00. Are you guys planning on releasing the set again? Because I am hoping that this is not a mistake because I really want to buy one again some day. Also, when do you hope to release it (Item No. 90050) and when will the Plainsman (Item No. 90078) be released?

Just wanted to ask and Thanks,

Alex Butner

Large / How many of you are doing Christmas Layouts???
December 21, 2010, 12:02:20 AM
Hello All,

May I ask how many of you are making or have assembled a Christmas layout (G-scale) this year? How many of you used Big Haulers? I have built one and I am using the Durango and Silverton freight with the Tweetsie freight cars. I got both for my birthday this year and thought that it would be cool to run them around the tree this year. The D&S 4-6-0 keeps on going, but the Tweetsie engine might need to be replaced or repaired.

Thanks and Merry Christmas,

Alex Butner

HO / Pegasus & Pacific Flyer Sets
July 26, 2010, 07:30:24 PM
Today I bought the Pegasus and Pacific Flyer sets along with more track. The Pegasus runs very smoothly since I have run it in on the track and the Pacific Flyer is great too. I recommend these sets.

Large / Snow Effects for White Pass Set
July 17, 2010, 12:24:48 AM
What is a safe, plastic, bachmann big haulers friendly snow that can be sprayed on the 90059 set without ruining it and that won't kill people from it's fumes? (I don't want to use anything deadly on it)

Dear Mr. Bach-man,
will the 2-4-2 steam engine be similar to a big haulers locomotive?

Large / The Pennsylvanian (BAC90082) Set Questions
July 09, 2010, 10:33:18 PM
Remember when I bought the Summit Pass train set? Well, in two weeks I am purchasing the Pennsylvanian set and I would like to ask questions about it.
1. Is it really beautiful in person?
2. Does it have an engineer & fireman figurine with it?
3. Are the coaches track powered or Battery powered?
4. Is the green metallic or glossy?
5. Does it smoke better than the wood burning versions?
I have settled on this set because I have always loved the Pennsy Keystone and the paint schemes. So, what do you think of my choice? Is it worth it?

EDIT: I'm getting the White Pass set instead because it has more track. Or maybe the Mountaineer.

Large / Question about the K-27
April 20, 2010, 04:18:23 PM
I am considering to purchase a Green 455 K-27 this year and I was wondering if the Bachmann Large scale power controller would be safe to run the K-27 with? Is it safe to use the Bachmann large scale controller and will Big Haulers track be too small? (I figured I'll need Aristo-craft 8' curves) I just want to know. I need to know as soon as possible please.

Large / About new accessories...
March 11, 2010, 10:52:03 PM
Dear Mr. Bach-man,
can you tell me what I can do with the A-frame bridge and trestle set? I want to get those accessories and a White Christmas Set later. Thanks,

Today, the wire the broke and now I can't run this train anymore. I'm stuck with it, if I try to get it replaced, it could take several months for a replacement, and I can't sell it either. It is now junk and I feel horrible. The only steam locomotive in G-scale that has lived for three months and now it has to do it. I can't return it, because it has been in my possession for three months and I can't sell it because nobody would buy it. This train has let me down. I'm going to find a better train. (Sorry Bachmann) I am tired of having to fix this thing every few weeks because something works itself loose or breaks. I have had too many bad experiences with this train. (Sorry again Bachmann)

Large / Thinking of a layout...
January 20, 2010, 12:14:46 AM
After thinking (and staring blankly at my Summit Pass), I thought about the time is right to start a floor layout with switches and more trains. I know that this is a Bachmann Trains forum, but will Piko trains and Aristo-Craft, and Lionel G-gauge battery trains run on my Bachmann track? I am just collecting and operating anything G-scale, including battery operated trains too. My layout is going along the lines of Northeastern USA with a twist of the 1950's and some other things. Also, how big does Bachmann's grass mat need to be for my layout? I'll need 15 feet by 13.5 feet (I think that's about it) and how many rolls is that and how can I make it look "Seamless" too? Also, this is an indoor layout, so what are so suggestions (simple) to make it better when I start? Also, do I use coarse or medium ballast? The layout will be scenicked but will NOT be elevated due to space restrictions. It will be a "U" shape hopefully (with sidings). Also, I'm going to use a Lionel G-Gauge Pennsylvania Flyer as a fun train with its add-on tracks to run while the layout is underway. Of course, it will run on the layout too, along with a G-gauge Hogwarts Express.

Large / Idea for Large Scale
November 23, 2009, 07:57:36 AM
Mr. Bach-man, can you please pass along the suggestion to make the locomotives in the Big Haulers sets available in separate sale? And make an ET & WNC Freight (Using a the Mountaineer locomotive)? Thanks, Alex Butner

Large / Bachmann Summit Pass Review
November 22, 2009, 01:30:06 PM
I received my Summit Pass train set on Thursday and I have to say that I am impressed with Bachmann. This is the most reliable and fun large scale train I have ever owned. This train looks great, runs great, and has a wonderful paint scheme. I am impressed Bachmann, keep up the good work! Another thing is that this train is so fun and will eventually be running on a larger loop and I have to say that the smoke output is good. Thanks for making G-scale fun!

Large / G scale Railbus
October 27, 2009, 11:43:52 PM
Hey Mr. Bach-Man, could you ask Bachmann if they could make a Large scale version of the On30 rail bus? That would be nice if you could pass it to them. Thanks.
