Did bachmann really make the above in HO? I was on walthers and they listed i think 3, labled as 80ton c class climaxes, and the product numbers dont seem to be from shays? However i cant find any photos? Can anyone clairfy this?

Bachmann did not produce any of the three truck Climax models. The two models of 3 truck Climax engines were the 65 and 75 ton engines.
Perhaps the Climax engines will be re-released. They were very popular and sold out quickly.
Go back and read again. It is a HO 80 ton three truck SHAY.
Hopefully, there is a shipping container on the way from China with the HO two truck Spectrum Climax. They are pricey on ebay, not that i would by one from ebay.

here is one of them http://walthers.com/exec/search?category=&scale=&manu=&item=160-82902&keywords=&words=restrict&instock=Q&split=30&Submit=Search
Originally Bachmann announced both two and three truck HO Climaxes. However only the two truck models were ever released. Maybe Bachmann will release three truck Climaxes in the future, maybe not.
Be careful with what is on the Walthers site, they are prone to make mistakes at least judging by past performaces. For example they listed as ON30 one of the large scale 4-4-0s, causing considerable excitement - this was long before Bachmann announced the ON30 4-4-0. They also listed a diesel ON30 set - which was in fact a set with the mogul steam loco.

The 2 truck shay has been discontinued. They're not in the catalog anymore. Where i work was lucky enough to get a few more from a distributor who still had them. We sold all of em within 3 weeks. Seemed like as soon as people saw we had them they went goodbye. I bought three undec's and well as i was workin on em my dogs had a habbit of getting on my desk knocin em over. on one the truck jammed up, the other two seemed to work fine (I think i havent touched em in a while)

QuoteI purchased one from M. B. Klein (modeltrainstuff.com) in April. I had seen the locomotive in the morning, but when I went online to order it that night, it seemed as though if it was out of stock. I emailed hoscale@modeltrainstuff.com and found out that they still had two remaining. I would suggest emailing them.
As i said Shay Fan, I BaltoOhioRRFan work there, We no longer have any.
