Title: Decoder Reset with E-Z Command?
Post by: mcbride on November 06, 2008, 07:56:28 AM
Is there any way to reset a decoder (Digitrax DZ123) in
a loco?  It stopped running last week and I was able
to reprogram it to a new address.  It runs fine in reverse
but lurches forward in the forward direction. I can turn lights
on/off.  I would like to just try doing a reset (using CV8)
to factory settings but it doesn't look like I can do that
with E-Z Command.

thanks for any help.

You need to set CV08 to a value of 8, but that seems to be past E-Z Command's capabilities.  Looks like its time to cultivate a friendship with someone that owns another brand of DCC controller...

Ok - I was hoping for a "hidden back-door" way using e-z command.   :(
Thanks for responding.
