Hi Folks,
What is the easiest method of adding sound to a Spectrum 4-4-0 DCC Modern GN?
Thanks,
John
Have a tech do it for you.
I would have to agree with with Trainman based on the question, easiest which sometimes means little or no experience with installs.
I did one some years ago using a SoundTraxx Tsunami Micro and it was a bit of work but it was good.
Below is a suggestion if the OP has determination. It is am excellent decoder.

The SoundTraxx decoder selector page has a suggestion also.

Thanks to both Trainman and Rich. The TCS link is exactly what I have been trying to find. Now I just have to practice microsolding before I make the leap.
Just as a side bar, in addition to my upstate NY village DCC layout, I bought a Bachmann EZ app Bluetooth steam loco set for my 2 yr old grandson. The loco sounds from my iphone were very disappointing so I'm setting up a 1" cube Bluetooth speaker($8) placed in a Bachmann 40' stock car. Saw this setup on a Bachmann video.
All the best,
John
Yes, soldering is an acquired art I have found out since I started soldering around 1955 with a 90 watt gun.
I went to a soldering station many years ago.
Practice on scrap material with "electrical" solder first I am sure you know.
I hope you have a good DCC controller, not an EZ Command which is ok.
Good luck.
