Title: Lube new engines

I'm new to HO and have 2 new DCC diesels.   Where do I lube, with what and how often?  tnx

If they're new, I am not sure you would have reason yet to lube and oil them.  Too much is almost as bad as too little lube.  Are they doing anything funny?

Most new engines are factory lubed ,mostly over lubed .IT Is a good idea to check this like you are, since I have had new old stock that the lube in the gear cases that turned into putty from sitting too long without being run.That involved diss assembly to clean all that out since it actually crated a huge drag on the mechanism .

Would that be P2K locos by Life Like Jack?  Bc they are infamous for that.
