Title: original GE 44 tonner, DCC conversion

I am certain that Model Railroader ran a article on how to convert the original  44 tonner(2 motor version) to DCC, probably have the article omewhere, but it could take the rest of my life finding it....... Help please!!

The instructions as I recall are all in that issue I mentioned.
The motors have to be removed from the trucks and cut the motor clips that connect with pickup clips on the trucks. Isolating the motor leads.
Watch the motor polarity because both motors face each other. When you assemble everything, there is a fifty, fifty chance it will not run, The motors will pull against each other or push gains each other depending on the DC polarity. Test with DC first.
Then install the decoder using the NMRA DCC decoder instructions.
The Digitrax DZ125 will work fine.
