I am trying to run my WB GP-9 with my new acquired Lionel SP FT. Naturally the reverse units are impossible to snyc so I went to lock the e-unit module only to find that there is NO switch! All of my other Williams units have a lock-out switch. What Gives!!!!
It probably has one of the earlier reverse boards that didn't come with a lockout switch. That's a fairly recent addition, so if your GP-9 was on a dealer's shelf for a while before you bought it there will not be one. There's a link in the WBB FAQ's on how to add one, or you can swap the reverse board out with a new style board.

I am not 100% sure but I think that some of the later Williams before Bachmann had a reverse switch, at least there was a space in the frame for one. Not all pre Bachmann Williams had a reverse lock-out switch. Most of the newer Williams by Bachmann engines should have a reverse lock-out switch.

Some pre-Bachmann Williams locos used old Lionel tooling and had a space for a switch, but it was never used.
