A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a 2-8-0 from MicroMark. They said it was out of stock, and is waiting for more. I was if Bachmann has any.
Thanks,
Mark
Hi Mark,
I can't answer your question about Bachmann having 2-8-0s in stock, but you might want to try 'Trainworld' or "The Favorite Spot" on eBay (an honest Bachmann dealer who usually has 2-8-0s for 'bid' or 'buy it now' prices ... the prices seem pretty reasonable).
best wishes on getting a 2-8-0

It always seems someone mis-reads or doesn't read my posts correctly....
"Out of stock" means "We don't have any and don't expect to get any more."
"Back ordered" means "WE don't have any now, but more are expected soon."
So Lanny was telling you where you could now search for one.

If you buy from Bachmann considering they have it, you will most probably pay full price.
Send an email to Micro Mark. They will answer. I have sent questions and they answered me. It took a few days as they get a lot of email.
A more expensive with DCC/sound below. I have bought from Tony's and Caboose.
Tony's Trains has the 2-8-0 with Tsunami.

Caboose Hobbies has it with the Tsunami.

Cold Spring Hobbies has a B&O with the Tsunami for $160.
I have bought from Tom's Trains. They have 30% off and $8.95 for shipping.

Ah, I see your point. They said they were waiting for more from bachmann, so I was wondering if bachmann has any in stock so I can put some sort of estimate to when I'll get it, because
I already ordered one VIA Micromark because they have a sale on.

OK, I thought you wanted it asap is why I suggested some other sites. You also asked if Bachmann might have any so I wrongly assumed you would buy one from Bachmann and cancel Micro Mark if necessary.

Understood, but apparently people now think that 12 year olds run around with 100s of dollars in their pockets...
According to MicroMark's website, they have them now.
YAY!

"Out-of-stock" means there's none on the shelf right now.
"More are expected soon" means they're on order with Bachmann, and as soon as Bachmann gets them and sends them to Micro-Mark, the shipment will be made to the customer.

Dear All,
The 2-8-0s have just come back in, and Micro Mark and others should have theirs soon.
Have fun!
