I'm looking for a goodlooking train that is easy to use and has a nice size track...(less than 6 Feet)... I need this train to use in a display and I wanted it to be easy to use and will stay running all day will it is in the display... i found two here local on craigslist and was wandering what you guys thought would be the best one for the buck.

The passenger cars in the first set are 85 feet long (approx 11 and 3/4ths inches) and may pose reliability problems down the line with only 22" radius and will not look good. The 1st set is better in my opinion, but you may want to repaint/re-decal the loco and passenger cars for another road, unless you are going to model Alaska and all the snow and ice.
Are both of these sets ready to go and will just have to be put together, or will they have to have other parts bought to make them work?

They'll work. You could buy more track and rolling stock & such but those 2 sets are ready to roll.
If you want the McKinnley Explorer set and don't like modeling ice and snow, how about modeling Alaska in the summer time? Hot, dry and billions of mosquitoes.

Yeah, but then if somebody sees the layout they'll ask where all the snow's at, I guess at that point you could explain Alaska isn't always all ice and snow.
