Title: Forney and 4-6-0 Minimum radius (On30)
Post by: jbwilcox on September 25, 2015, 07:25:01 AM
Will these two engines run on a 15 inch minimum radius?

Most of my main line will be 22 inch radius but there is one end of my main loop that needs to fit in a 36 inch wide bench.

Thanks for the help

Dear JB,
These are both 22" radius minimum locos.
Incidentally, I read the board every day, 24/ 7, but not every hour. I am currently at the ECASTS in York, Pa, and this is the first I've been on the board since 7:00 AM.
Have fun!

The ten-wheeler has a center blind driver and the front truck has a pretty wide arc of travel. I'm told that it'll handle 18" radius but my layout has mostly 24" radius (I think it's 22 at one spot). I've seen one on a 20" curve on another layout once.
The draw bar must to be set for the loco to be as far from the tender as possible.
Hope that helps.
