Title: New 2-8-0 DCC + Sound Question
Post by: Rich_S on July 14, 2016, 04:30:35 PM
Hi Bachmann, I'm a little confused by the NMRA announcement catalog on your web page. A couple of the New 2-8-0's show a crew member in the cab, indicating a cab interior but the Western Maryland version still shows the motor in the cab. Will the new 2-8-0's with DCC + Sound have a cab interior like the PRR K4 or is the motor still in the cab like the older non DCC version of the locomotive?

Thanks in advance,
Rich S.

Ho models were used for photography on a few road names - this would explain the figures. The tooling hasn't changed other than to fit new electronics.

Dear Bachmann,
Please clarify which of the previous 2-8-0 models is the basis for the new 2-8-0 with dcc and sound.
I own two of the early Spectrum version in which I had dcc with sound installed.
I am delighted with them.
(I was disappointed with the dual mode 2-8-0 and returned it under warranty.  Bachmann did not
have a 2-8-0 to replace it. Thus I took an alternative choice.  The bottom line is I do not know if
others of these 2-8-0s were better than the one I had.)
Thanks.

It is based on the most recent version.
