Title: Trainz 2004
Post by: Rickenbacker 325 on March 21, 2011, 08:42:49 AM
I found an old Trainz 2004 game in my basement. I wanted to run it on my new computer (2010 model), and while i was installing it, it asked for a serial number. Do any of you know where to find it? It only came with the cd's (2) in side. Nothing else.
Any help?

Dear Rb,

I guess Sid's suggestion trumps mine.

What I was going to say was:

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=trainz%20(04%2C%202004)&rt=nc&_fln=1&_sc=1&_sop=15&_sticky=1&_trksid=p3286.c0.m283&_rdc=1

There is a listing "buy it now" for $7.99 free shipping, plus another listing that shows a live customer support phone number....

Hope things all work out for you.

Sincerely,

Joe Satnik

Would I have to pay after the free trial is over on March 22?

Thanks but I do not want to pay for another one, even if it is $8

No idea....you would have to contact filefortune and ask them. Or do a search for Trainz 2004 cracks....there are more sites out there than just filefortune.

Rick-

Your program may or may not run on your new computer. Windows has been updated several times since 2004 and you may very well have an incompatibility in the software. If that's the case, you can try contacting the manufacturer to see if they'll update your program for a nominal sum or even for free. Good luck.

the numbers you seek are ususally on the back of the jewel box on a sticker. the sticker lists the title on the first line and then has  a 24 digit alphanumeric below it. at least that is how is on my trainz Ultimate. I'm currently running the program on windows  seven .  The installation blurb said it should  run but on Vista it would run differently. Good Luck.    J2.
