Hey guys I just got back from the York Train show yesterday and I spoke with a few of the people who work for Bachmann. I gave them a few ideas and they loved them so much they said they would bring it up to Doug Blane the Vice President of sales for Bachmann Trains. Two of the ideas I came up with have already been discussed on the forum. Green Thomas and Black James for recolors. I however did something a little different and told them about the Thomas Wooden Railway limited edition James Goes Buzz Buzz and Thomas comes to Breakfast. I thought why doesn't Bachmann make a James Goes Buzz Buzz? Yes I know it's definetly a long shot but it would be something very easy for Bachmann to do. I mean all they would have to do is to add Bee sticker decals on the boiler give James a new face and paint the nose red. It's simple and I think it would be a fun addition to the line. I know some may hate the idea of that but I just wanted to throw that out there. Now a more reasonable repaint. Silver Spencer. I mentioned at the booth that Spencer was still that grey-blue color when ever since the CGI series, Spencer has been rereleased with that metallic silver color in nearly every bit of merchandise. I was told to mention this to Insidetrack if he or she is listening. This is definitely a much better opportunity to increase sales and also make customers happy. I hope Doug Blane and Insidetrack are watching this because the guys told me at York to post this here in the forum. Anyways hope you guys like my idea. Please don't judge by the James Goes Buzz Buzz idea. I just thought I'd put it out there.

Thomas & Friends / Re: 2019 Official Announcements
February 15, 2019, 10:38:00 PM
I'm super excited for the N scale Thomas line! I can't believe Bachmann actually announced it! We all know James is gonna be announced next year for 2020 so I am hoping we get other engines like Gordon or Henry. My gosh if we get Gordon that would be amazing! N scale leaves up so many opportunities for so many characters! Whatever will they think up next?

If Bachman wants to do something good we should get Thomas and Percy released with DCC and sound onboard. They wouldn't have to use new tooling just new inner worksings and wiring. I just hope that they can get something out this year. I'm really hoping we get troublesome truck 6. It's highly likely we will. As for HO narrow gauge. I'm really looking forward to seeing Sir Handle or Peter Sam being announced. Can't wait for Rusty to get released. Anyways hope this doesn't disappoint this year. Someone comment if you wanna discuss. It's time I get involved it's been sometime.

I haven't commented in almost a year. Here's what I want to see in 2019.

HO Scale:

BoCo: definitely a long shot but I just thought I'd put him out there. BoCo is one of my personal favorites. I would love to see BoCo in HO scale because of his size and ability to pull heavy goods trains.

Flying Scotsman: a bit of a long shot but I think he'd be a good character. Yeah his tv series counterpart may not be accurate but I think he'd sell very well and Bachmann would make tons of profit off of this model.

James' express coach and brake coach: highly likely we will see these come out next year if these are announced I will not be suprised.

Troublesome Truck #6: same as above very likely to be announced.

Narrow Gauge:

Sir Handle: my friend Jack goes on and on about Sir Handle not being made. I really hope we get Sir Handle just because he's a popular character and he along with Peter Sam are in high demand.

Well that's my list hope I get a response.

So here's what I think we should see for 2019. Given we've been getting some re colors I thought I would add something from an earlier post.

HO Scale
Silver Spencer (with moving eyes)
Stanley (with moving eyes)
James' Brake Coach
James' Composite Coach
Troublesome Truck 6

Narrow Gauge
Sir Handle

Large Scale
Troublesome Truck 3

This is what I am hoping for 2019. Maybe as you guys are saying Bachmann could be planning something big. Who knows.

Hey guys I thought of something no one else has thought of for a re-color. Since the CGI switchover, all merchandising involving Spencer has repainted him in that metallic silver color. Bachmann still has Spencer in that blueish gray color from how he looked in seasons 7 and 8. I mean wouldn't it be nice to see Spencer in his current livery? Bachmann wouldn't have to change his face or anything just give him a fresh coat of metallic silver paint. This is something everyone has over looked. I personally wouldn't mind seeing a metallic silver Spencer for 2019 if Bachmann had to do another re-color. I mean it's better than grumpy diesel. Think about it. I'm sure Mattel would definitely want Bachmann to give this change for Spencer. This is an update long overdue.

Funny thing about the large scale range my parents placed a bet with me. If Edward gets announced in Large Scale I owe both my mom and grandma $10.00. If Mavis or someone else gets announced, my mom and grandma both owe me $10.00. Can't wait for tomorrow!

I don't know if you guys realize this but it's been 10 years since Emily got released. I still have the original model of her. She runs beautifully but definitely needs some lubrications

Thomas & Friends / Re: Thomas and Friends in DCC Sound
February 05, 2018, 08:48:00 PM
This would really be a good idea for the 2018 or 2019 announcements. I mean they did it in Large Scale so why no HO? It would be nice to have Thomas and Percy with DCC and Sound on board in HO scale. I mean this is why I created the thread to get the word out and hopefully demand for this will get out there and Bachmann will hopefully make these. I mean if we run out of new characters we could get a DCC sound on Board Thomas and Percy. They'd be expensive but totally worth it.

I'm excited to see what we are gonna get for HO narrow gauge. I wanna get Rusty when he comes out but I'm really hoping for either Peter Sam or Sir Handle to be announced. I'm really excited to see what we're gonna get. As for HO a lot of people have been speculating Ryan, Daisy or Stanley. I wanna see Hiro get released next. But hopefully we get something good. Here's hoping for a good announcement guys.

I actually really hope we get Troublesome Truck number 6. I absolutely love the new troublesome trucks we've been getting over the past few years. Who else here really liked the new rolling stock announced in 2016 and 2017? I'm actually leaning towards rolling stock than engine lately. Don't know why that is but I'm just speculating. If troublesome truck 6 is announced, what do you think it will be? A ventilated van, a utility wagon or a tanker? Maybe a whole new tooling. I'm just guessing. I love talking with you guys on this forum about it. I wanna hear what you all have to say about this. Comment away!

I think Diesel 10 is marketable enough but I also think they could just forget NMRA standards and make him. Diesel 10 would be a great addition to the range. I think Bachmann should make him for him being a very marketable character. His sales would go through the roof.

Alright we're very close to the announcements. What I'm hoping for goes as follows

HO Scale
Diesel 10
Stephen
Daisy
Stanley
Norman
(I'm hoping at least one engine from this list is announced)
Troublesome truck 6
Water tanker

HO narrow gauge
Sir Handle
Peter Sam
Narrow Gauge coaches
Narrow Gauge open wagons

Large Scale
Edward
Bill and Ben

This is what I'm hoping for. I only expect one from each category. Let me know what you guys think.
