What do mean by an HO scale Day Out with Thomas?
Like lets say Strasbourg R. R. is your favorite day out with Thomas or like mine, the cuyahoga valley scenic railroad, or even your own, etc. then buy the coaches or make them your self and have your layout a day out with Thomas event! ;D

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooh. If I did a Day Out with Tomas I would deffinately do the Strasburg RR. Only because I live in PA and I've been there. Plus it's where thy filmed the 10 years of Thomas DOWT scenes.
Say i said that on the all about Thomas topic(something like that.) Glad someone also knows! ;D
This sounds like a great idea, I am just curious about the legalities of it??? copywrights and ect.
d
Hmmmm, don't see any copy wright problems... but I really don't want to sound for sure though. I Guess as long as you give credit to Hit... I really don't know :(. If i were Hit, I would say as long as you don't make a profit, it'll be legal. If it does then ask for permission. I really don't know what to tell you but i don't see any problem. I am just going to use my 4 old Santa Fe coaches till i get some coaches to C.V.S.R. paint. I am going to base it off this year's day out with Thomas. Here's some pics. :) http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=284024&nseq=2 http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=284026&nseq=1. I videoed the event for fun and to help for the project.Hope you enjoy!!! ;) ;) ;) P.S. Looking at this being expensive due to the power car(old army kitchen. learn this on C.V.S.R.com.) it's behind the B&O unit.
Ask 9911A E5, he's the one doing a museum, and we were talking about that a few months back. :P At first, I though you were going to ask about IRM's real Day Out with Thomas thing, but hey, I'll ask him. He does have about $200.00 cash, but he's always saving it up for that one big purchase. I don't think he'll consider it yet. I have to try to get that little bugger more active on this forum. ;D
Cheers,
Joshua
Oh yeah, I would do it, but I'm not sure N&W had Thomas... ;)

Could not find one. :( but..... you could make your own! :) :) :) you know? Not that hard. Isn't like your looking for Norfolk southern coaches. ;). I'm gonna by the next one i see! ;D Those are hard to find even though their ex. Norfolk western coaches! :P........
that would be a great idea. a small video of the bachmann/hornby day out with thomas :)
until i get the items i had some experimenting and here are the results! Budget:$250 happening.....2010 unless I get lucky! I probably will buy the diesel and Thomas By August :P The site is under construction so if worse comes to worse then i will have to E-mail Them :(. I want this to be as close as possible to the 2009 C.V.S.R. event as possible. So The B&O will be #800. What are your thoughts?

yes, i was trying to say that it will be easier than getting those coaches! ;)
Don't remind me...
Here's an idea, why don't I start doing a mountain museum and have a Day Out With Thomas event for the grand opening? ;) I'm not kidding.

Well i might not get Annie and Clarabelle with Thomas on the spot. I will hopefully get the Dcc Baltimore and Ohio F7A with Thomas but Thomas will come first if it will be one at a time. :)
Paint the F7 in Thomas scheme... Wait, nevermind. :o :P

*nods head* Now where did I put that diesel? Found him! Say hello to sodor! 8)
Sir top hat apparently did not like being called the fat controller! :D Wait... what do we do with james? Hmmmm.....SD-42?
Your mixed up, SD40-2. As for James, no. He's a SD60M... Hehehe. 8)

Nice, I gotta watch what i was doing :P. I agree. Gorden Henry? *throws papers into a folder called "I'll do it later....eventually. ;)" and gets blueprints for Murdoch* He, He, He! :D I say lets turn Murdoch into a turbine! ;D http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/e/e5/Union_Pacific_18.jpg/300px-Union_Pacific_18.jpg Gordon..... just send him to new york central to be made into....http://thecontaminated.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/m497-jet-train/jet-train.jpg ! I think Gorden and i will be some good, close friends. 8)
No, no, no... Not the 8,500 turbine, this one:
http://en.wikivisual.com/images/2/21/Turbine68.jpg
I guess the 8,500hp one could work, just one thing, do we have anymore 8,500hp turbine motors?
As for Gordon, I think the Pimped RDC will work just fine... 8)
Too bad about the fuel economy though...
As for Emily, a EMD GP40-3 will suit her just fine. 8)

P.S. Wow, this topic went by fast, from Thomas, to changing them into Gevos and Turbines... I like it! ;D
I know! :D It's funny how this stuff happens! ;D And i still have no job. :P so no Thomas :-\ yet.
Percy COULD be an SW1500, but what about Duck? What would he be?
how about a GP30B? How about diesel? http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=163320 ?
It is about the size of a class 08.
That's fine for diesel. Percey is a good engine, he's a MP15AC. ;)
A GP30B? Uh, you sure? :o
http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoPicture.aspx?id=42259
Joshua
(laughing) He is square in ways. :D I did not call him a slug! ;D ummm... how about a Gp9B? http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=1219352 I can't think of anything for him! ;)
Excellent...
Joshua
Here's one i doubt you know, a match for daisy... ;) http://travel.flindersranges-secrets.com/frc_area/have-fun/Images/coffee_pot.jpg ....... :-\ ....... :-X....!!! ummmmm.... :-\ let this one slip? ???
That's pretty neat, must be narrow gauge or some sort of short line. Sure, why not?
Joshua

why not?
It was not American, who really cares, as long as its fun ;D. To be honest, i used to look up this kind of stuff for fun. Look up many kinds of things, Class, country, road name, type of line,Etc. with trains, locos, or locomotives. I find a lot of things that blew my mind. this was one of them. I knew this would come in handy but never knew what for. Strange things happen you know? so glad you like :)
Let's make Spencer a Class 390. :D
Sorry to anyone if we're spamming, but we're just starting a little game... Thread's pretty much over in terms of discussing a Day out with Thomas event unless anyone else wants to play or add anything to the topic.
Joshua
to add on.... The whole idea of the game is to turn the engine into the opposite. Steam into diesel, diesel to steam. So far we've done TV series and hopefully book too. If you want to talk about the day out with Thomas then i will not ignore that. :) (wait, i never ignore stuff...) I know this belongs on the everything Thomas topic but who cares, it is here and will hopefully stay.
HAPPY 4th of JULY!
Thank you! Sadly, it's likely to rain all day for me... :(
Anyway, let's see... Diesel 10 into a Mike! YES, that sounds fun...
Joshua
BEREA was SLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!! I got to see a 4 BNSF with a UP train(regular paint scheme). In the total of 1 hour(i ate lunch for half hour) that was the only thing! It was boomin last week and when i went to my mom's work buddy's party yesterday, that line was boomin! They need to give those turtles some nitrous! :o I might go watch fireworks. It is not the same to me. :( I used to go to a Giant eagle parking lot and trains would pass. Lakewood park is crowded all the time.
Good idea! It is a good sized match.
Let's see...BoCo would be a PRR Q2 class 4-4-6-4---get it? They both have assymetrical wheel arrangements!
That sounds good. i think a ten wheeler will work too! ;D http://www.glacierparkmodels.com/CNW_4-6-0s/C&NW_4-6-0_1400-ic.jpg
Here is a brain smasher.... what is good for........(2 hours later)......(1 second later)... LADY!
Sorry could not help myself... :)
Why not a C44-9W?
http://railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=286804&nseq=8
Joshua
I think that is the size of here magic! :D I was thinking of http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=4002&nseq=135 or a junker like http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=77567&nseq=112 or like a http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=126215&nseq=2.
Here's one for all the mountain engines:Culdee, lord harry etc.
http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=287508&nseq=0
Yup, that'll do.
Joshua
here is a mind buster i forgot! (USA or not) What can be used for mike,Rex & Bert. also whats for jock?
I'll start to look!
how about a F7 for all? ...... ;) http://www.maxitrak.co.uk/getloco.asp?loconum=16
just add a phone! ;D
