Title: beginners
Post by: dwaynefmc1 on August 27, 2012, 11:50:56 PM
Just starting my first train layout which is four feet by eight feet.  I want to learn how I can put my street lights on one switch, house lights on a second switch and my crossing on the third switch.  What are some hints, books, etc where I can get the hints I need?

Thanks everyone

Dear Dwayne,

Here is a (triple SPST) switch you could use:

If your accessories are rated for AC voltages equal to or greater than the Accessories output of your power pack,

you should be good to go.

Take care not to overload the circuits by putting too many accessories on one switch.

Atlas book # 12 explains the workings of that switch and others in their line:

Hope this helps.
