Dear Mr Bachmann,

I have a Wales UK customer wanting to know if the the Bachmann Powerpack in the "Spirit of Christmas" set will work on UK household power, is an adaptor of some type needed?

Thanks,
Jim

I have never been to England, but I do love British trains, I bought a used British N scale collection at a Florida Hobby shop about 20 years ago and was hooked, I really like the style of British steam engines and coaches. I have spent a lot of time researching and learning about British trains, I guess to me it was something new and different and I have always had a fondness for British things, Monty Python, the Beatles, MG's, Jaguars, etc.
By the way, Bachmann's British trains are very well done Graham Farish in N and Branchline in OO.

Interesting thread.

N / Re: OLD AHM 4903D WRECKING CRANE INFO WANTED
April 04, 2011, 11:10:38 PM
I have an Illinois Central version, these were sold by AHM in the 70's to early 80's. The crane does not go on to the flat car. On the prototype we call the flat car a tender, various track components, wreckage, parts, etc are placed on these, it also helps with transporting the long hook/structure of the crane as a spacer car.

You might want to contact North West Shore lines.  http://www.nwsl.com/
They specialize in gear replacements and repowering units for engines. I think they can even custom make parts.

Good luck,
Jim
