I'm sorry I was so disappointed about U guys 2 answers, I didn't even read all the post. No, it doesn't have any sentimental value, just wanted my wife 2 have a DCC sound w/ smoke. Aaron

I thank U both 4 Ur time and effort. And I actually understand what u're trying 2 convey 2 me. If U both only knew, my wife, not only likes the steam era, but she likes the smoke! I can't seem 2 find engines that have smoke and DCC sound!!! I know they're out there and might B expensive, but she always gives me what I want, so Y can't I do the same? It didn't have 2B Bachmann or Spectrum, but that's where I started  with and that's what I have !!! I really figured, it wouldn't B that hard 2 accomplish. Every which way I go tho sure doesn't help me get any closer 2 her train w/ smoke and DCC!!! Thanx anyway.

December 08, 2009, 05:45:27 PM
Ray, U R the man! I'm just starting out and I'm doing alot of homework. Looking @ this and that, and asking alot af questions B4 I buy my 1st set or even a piece of track! U ade it short, quick, and easy! My name is Aaron, and I want 2 ask a quick question. Moost of the cheap sets, on the market 2 day, do the makes set the engines up to pull what that engine would have? Or do they just make it look pretty?

                                    Thank you,

HO / Different types of locos
December 08, 2009, 05:29:03 PM
Hello! I am currently doing homework to build my own model railroad. I'm learning about track, locos, and rolling stock. I saw either here in this web site or on another site, pics of locos from the 1st steam engine to the current diesel. I didn't mark the page and now can't seem to find it! Without actually putting a name on the engines; (Santa Fe), can you show me a graduating class of engine from 1st steam to current diesel?
          Thank you,
                        Aaron

I have (1) engine and (5) pieces of rollings stock which I can't Identify. The boxes do not have any markings of any kind on the outer right flap. Please help!!! I am a beginner to the hobby and I'm doing my home work to find out which trains are TRASH and which trains are the best w/o breaking the bank! I'm embarking on a new hobby w/ my son and we want to do it right the 1st time. I know that in anything we do there is a entrance and a professional level, we'd like to come in some where in the middle. I know I'm on a Bachmann MB, but I have some Life Like trains which have the same flap to the right of the see thru plastic, to show name and model #. The (6) pieces I have don't have this info. Very, very, very excited about this new adventure, can't wait to hear from the MB, THANKS!
