Check the ESU USA  site. They have all the decoder info there, including the sound samples.
Litchfield Station, a very good DCC supplier can tell you also.
ESU now has the v4.0 series, $120 and the Select, $80.00 low price series. To my knowledge, you can get them with different connectors. I have bought them with the 8 pin plug.

SoundTraxx recommends a Tsunami Micro which is 750 MA. $112.00 but you seem to want the ESU. THat decoder, you need an eight pin plug.

ESU does not have a Micro good for 750 ma, only 500 ma.

Both ESU decoders work best with a 4 ohm speaker but still ok with an 8 ohm speaker from the specs I read at Litchfield. Your choice.

Take a few minutes to look at the diagram. I just checked. It shows a Bachmann EZ Command decoder with a 8 pin connector.

Be sure to run your railtruck for a while before you invest in a sound decoder. If the gears split, then you won't need to spend money on sound.

The BLI Goose used a Lok Sound board, so it might be good for the railtruck as well.
