Could we get a hint about what scale you are talking about?

www.wildwestmodels.com has a whole line of western kits in HO and O scales.  Banta modelworks.com also has some western looking buildings.  If you go to valleymodeltrains.com you will find a number of kits that may fit the bill.

Look in the model train magazines and you will find many other sources.

Playmobile makes plastic cactus  -- may be a bit large for HO.

Based on Bachmann's and the Bach Man's recent trip to Soundtraxx, maybe there will be a surprise?

Hey Yahoo.  You do realize you are on a Bachmann web site.  Why do I say that?  Just bc.

General Discussion / Re: New Ideas in Benchwork
August 07, 2009, 08:56:22 AM
About 25 years ago I built a 5' x 12' G scale railroad in a bedroom.  I had six legs with casters so that I could pull the whole railroad out from the wall to work in the back.  It worked very well.

Would you say this thread has gotten a little off track?

That question has already been answered -- on another thread the writer confirmed both sets of domes are included.

What "listing on this site" are we talking about?

How about "it gets here when it gets here."  It's not like we're waiting for a heart transplant.
Give the Bach Man and Bachmann a break.

On30 / Re: New stuff

Thanks Bachmann.  There will be good stuff for Christmas this year.  Nice to see new releases with sound.  Hopefully the two 4-4-0's will be released with sound also.

Interesting how some people are disappointed they didn't get the exact loco they wanted.  Yes, it should be all about you.  There doesn't seem to be any more of a "negative undercurrent" than a "positive undercurrent" regarding the new announcements.

I think the Heisler issue has been resolved one way or the other -- the other!

Thanks again.

On30 / Re: On30 Bridges

Have you thought about cutting the middle out of the one you like and gluing the ends back together?  Doesn't look like it would be too difficult since there are board lines to follow.

A covered bridge is also not extremely difficult to scratchbuild -- would make a good scratchbuilt first project.

Last time that I will comment.  There are no On30 4-4-0's listed in that ad with SOUND.

Rich,

There's the problem.  I'm talking On30; the ad is for HO.

Rich,

I guess I'm either stupid or blind -- I see no 4-4-0 listed at Micro-Mark with sound.  I have asked the Bach Man before about sound and his reply was that there was no sound at this time in the 4-4-0 (first version.)

Please prove me wrong so I can buy one.
