December 04, 2011, 04:45:35 PM
Hello I have read that MI code 70 and code 80 rail is the same width at the base of the rail is this true? I need some rail joiners but all i can get locally is code 83 and if the rail base is the same then the joiners should interchange.

General Discussion / track cleaner

Hello, Can anyone advise on a good track cleaner (other than the brightboy) that you pull behind an engine. I model in On30 so HO scale would be fine.
Thanks

On30 / 2-8-0
June 10, 2010, 08:25:25 PM
Hello I had switched the smoke stack from the wood burner cabbage stack to the tapered coal stack. In the exploded drawing it shows a small pipe coming out of the back of the stack curves down the left side of the smokebox then follows the footboard to the cab. This pipe is an option but did come in the kit box. What is this part for and what did it do on the prototype?
Thanks

On30 / Dcc circut board
August 24, 2009, 11:05:55 AM
I am putting a tender on my modified forney (cut into a porter) My question is the dcc decoder connects to a circut board, then goes on the the board in the ash pan. I want to put in a soundtraxx sound decoder can I directly connect to the circut board in the ash pan or do I have to go through the one in the tender?

On30 / Forney smoke box support
June 17, 2009, 08:26:21 PM
Hello I purchased a used forney off of ebay for a porter conversion (which went very well) anyway when I opened the box I noticed the engine was missing the left smokebox/pilot support. I thought no big deal it was used, and it was missing in the picture on ebay. So I noticed that in the bachmann ad the same engine is missing the support. I have looked a several ad's and the outside frame undec forney is missing the support. Is the supposed to be like that or is it a production mistake? I not mad or anything just curious?
