Large / Re: Loco Bill's new indoor layout construction.
February 04, 2016, 02:50:31 PM
Bill I want to thank you for last edition. I have been out with a bad back since last June, of last year. Shots have made quite of bit of improvement, finally was able to go up and down stairs right in December. But could not bend over .So the out side layout had become weed garden galore. Went  out a sprayed the weeds today git some more edging material. Hopefully I will be back on track in March. Thanks for the renewed ambition. I fiqured out that growing old is not for sissies  ;D

Just received new in the box a 2 4 2 part number 91114. Will this be able to run out side ok compared to all of my 4 6 0. It looks as if Bachmann has re released this in a new set. Any history or feed back will be appreciated  Thanks  Frank

Thanks, Cleaned the track today rebuilt some of the road bed and got the whistle going not too bad of a sound, reminds me of the whistle in the mountains.  think I will call them and see if they offer a bigger speaker.... Did not hook up the chuff tho.

Was going through a old store that was closing down. I found new in the box unused a TechII 8000 sound generator, paid 10.00 for it I wanted it for the wishtle, but it also controls the chuff. Is it possible to use this, or is it going to create additional problems.  Thanks

If this is an out door set up make certain that the track is level side to side. When I did mine I had the same problem. Went back with a good level a shored up the track where it is even.

I have the lay out going, and today while I was running my Rio Grande Southern it would get to a spot on the track, and all most stop. About three feet from the track feed. I than ran the Royal Blue and it had no trouble. Should I be looking for some pick ups on the wheels to clean?? By the way I replaced the running gear  Motor and Chasis last month with a new one from Bachmann... Thank you

Thanks for the info,, it says on the side 1833-2008 Bachman 175 also has the products listed on the other side f the door, being Big hauler, plasticville, EZ Comand EZ Track system Williams, and Spectrum, two trucks withtwo wheels in each truck, metal wheels. Kind of an antique wwhite, with a red roof and door. The door slide open. I will try to give better info in the future, but I hadto sneek this one in :D
