Title: 4-8-2 #81662 NC&StL
Post by: jdha on June 18, 2012, 09:35:28 AM
I'm retired and have taken up N gauge for something worthwhile to help pass the time!  I am very interested in the Spectrum #81662 4-8-2 - NC&StL - that is advertised as "DCC Ready".  Does this mean there is a circuit board in the tender, as I've seen photos of in some of the discussion topics.  Also, I was wondering whether all eight tender wheels have pickups?  I do hope someone out there can help.

Hi jdha,

Welcome to the hobby.
The light mountain is a beauty and a fine runner.

The short answer to both your questions is yes.

There has been much discussion here about this lokie.
I love mine.

This is the best price I've found, and great to do business with as well.
Shop around.
