Title: Decoder for Bachmann 44 ton switcher.
Post by: SRRPAT on August 28, 2007, 04:01:44 PM
Does a board from any other Bachmann loco fit the 44 toner? The board that is in it requires soldering or a plug that has 8 pins in line! The 44915 decoder is the normal 4 over 4.

I don't know if the 70 tonner chassis would fit under a 70 tonner. It might, seeing as they were both made by GE and may have similar lengths...

Use the PCB in the locomotive.
Cut both capacitors.
Install  any small decoder by soldering. Example --  click http://www.tcsdcc.com/decoderpics/Bachman%20GE%2044%20Ton%20Diesel%20Switcher/Bachman%20GE%2044%20Ton%20Diesel%20Switcher.htm
