Title: Micro eng track
Post by: slack on December 04, 2011, 04:45:35 PM
Hello I have read that MI code 70 and code 80 rail is the same width at the base of the rail is this true? I need some rail joiners but all i can get locally is code 83 and if the rail base is the same then the joiners should interchange.

i have handlaid my track with a mixture of atlas and micro engineering code 83 rail. why? the base of the atlas rail is too wide to fit in the jigs i use to make switches, the micro engineering rail fits perfectly. the code 83 joiners work equally well for both, and i have also used them on the few sections of code 70 rail i have on spurs.
