Hi Stan;
Now that you mention it, yes it was my two Murphy roof boxcars.  As a precaution, I went ahead and also replaced the trucks on my spectrum caboose.  Are the trucks alright on the earlier boxcars and the caboose?
Thanks,
Chuck

Rob, I also had the trucks disintegrate on two of my Spectrum boxcars.  The Spectrum freight cars and caboose are, in my opinion, the most accurate and best looking of any scale.  Unfortunately, it appears the trucks are made from what's known as "pot metal".  I replaced the trucks with Bachmann Big Hauler boxcar trucks I happened to have extra. They work fine, just don't look as good.

Justin;
Can you post a picture of that 0-8-8-0 camelback?  It sounds interesting.
Thanks;

The 81xxx shays are the 36 ton first gen models and the replacement trucks will fit.
The 82xxx shays are the 38 ton sec gen models.
The xxx are the different road names.

I sent a package from Tampa to Milwaukee suburb. Took 7 days to get to Milwaukee main post office. 2 days later they sent it to Pittsburg. They finally sent it back to Milwaukee. Total delivery time 17 days.

When I go to The Great Train Show In The Sky my son will need only three things.  A hammer, a nail and a for sale sign. :)

Trainman203;
I think multiple crissoves are like croissants, we're just supposed to eat them. :) :)
