Title: K27 parts in the box
Post by: Udo on April 27, 2010, 12:16:49 AM
Hello together !

Has somebody an idea about the use of the small parts packed in the additional plastic bag in the box?
Most of them I know, but one part is strange for me.
In the bag with the tools and oil cans etc, there is a black beam about 80mm long, an U-profile with a hole on each end.
What is that for ?

That piece serves no purpose for the K-27.

It's the tow bar that goes between the little powered hand car and the trailer it pulls.  Why Bachmann packs it with every locomotive is unknown. Almost seems that those accessory packs were made up years ago and for some reason Bachmann threw one of the tow bars in with all the other items.

This question keeps coming up and someone here on the board will jump in with the answer.  Heaven only knows how many times the tow bar question has come up. ;)
