On30 / questions for Mr Riley and the Bachmann
May 03, 2008, 06:24:24 PM
in view of the interest of narrow gauge in britian and oon the continent Isnt it time that Bachmann extended their product range to include some non American specific prototypes
In the U K there is an extrenely active O 16.5 (On30to you )
just at the releases announced at the Nuremburg Toy Fair.

Come on Bachmann spread your wings

 Hi Bachmann  ?   mr Riley
after reading the posts on this subject with which I agree
its time that Mr Riley and your self encouraged the broadening of the 0n30 range to ijntroduvce some more "internztional " items  such has occured in the other Bachmann  ranges such as in England and Germany  not to mention China
there is in England a very strong following for O 16.5 or On 30 as its called on your side of the pond

On30 / Re: On 30 trolley car (Tramcar ) to us in the UK
January 25, 2008, 05:20:20 PM
Thanks for info but they look a little fragile for on 30
Thank you Bachmann for the info
One question you did not answer was what duameter trooley wire is suitable to fit the roller on the top of the trolley pole on the De Witt car
You can answer with either the wire dianeter or gauge size be it  AWG (AAmerican ) or SWG (Standard ) wire gauge   being more international I would prefer to us something easiely available in the ukrather than get involved in International mail order
After all Bachmann has a subsidery in the UK

agaun thanks

2 /  what gauge wire (A W G or SWG is required to fit the trolley pole wheel

On30 / Re: San Juan Car Company and R-T-R On30
January 13, 2008, 04:34:09 PM
there also appeaars to be a problem in mixing Bachmann and  San Juan cars in that the san  :
Juan ON30cars have a higher coupler height than the HO standard used by Bachmann and pther Kit probucers in On30

On30 / Re the Peco On30 turntable
January 11, 2008, 07:20:18 AM
By chance whilst on the phone to my local hobby shop the Peco rep was there
Regarding the Turntable he confirns it will be "Handdraulicle " operated similiar to their HO/N gauge versuomns  so will need Meccano gears or similiar to rotate same
He had no idea of a firm delivery date but said that the tooling is in manufacture
Best delivery estimate is later this year ? As for price it willbe dearer than th HO Version

On30 / Re: IF YOU WERE BACHMANN'S CFO
November 04, 2007, 06:27:55 PM
Afer ww! American N G ttank locos spread acros europe and  some UK NG lines bought some (Acouple have been restored and running today)I seem to decall that they were 4 6 0tank locos and were in the main 24 inch gauge
So Food for thought Mr Riley ????
If not as aresult of a G scale loco of yester =year how about the American built 2 4 2 tank loco that ran on the Lynton and  Barnstable rly with some similar styles sold to various British ex Colonies
you must still have the Draeings so little research needed
Best regard s
