Hi 3-Rail
I need your help. I purchased a few of the NW-2 O-Gauge Engines.
2 of them my son and I opened on his birthday. I noticed the "Radio-Antennae"
on top of the engines were broken on the Baltimore and Ohio and Union Pacific.
I thought no big deal I faxed a copy of my receipts and asked for replacement parts
with some instruction as how to replace them as I would like to learn how to make repairs.
I also followed up with phone calls. I always have left messages NO-ONE has
returned a call. Last week someone finally answered the call I explained my situation and they said they would call back right away that was Tuesday August 28!!!!
I am e-mailing you in the hopes that I get somewhere with this issue. If you want
me to send the engines to you I will but I thought for such small parts I can try to do it myself to save you time. I can imagine how busy it must get around the place. BUT
just a return call to let me know you have got my messages would be a big help. Please let me know what you can do
Thank you
Kind regards
JP of Acton MA USA writes,
if your NW-2s are roughly the same size and scale as the postwar Lionel versions, then you might be able to use a reproduction postwar Lionel NW-2 radio antenna to replace the broken ones on your Williams locos.
Note: the only Williams by Bachmann parts that seem to be available right now are trucks for the WBB Peter Witt Streetcar.

Thank you for trying to help.
I know of someone who sells Lionel parts as I just replaced a front section to a
1950's Lionel Hudson. I will contact him and see if he has the part. Something like
this should be a metal part.
I will post when i find out if they can help
Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Spoke with someone in parts today. Turns out the radio wheel is not a separable piece !!!
I hope if they do any upgrade tooling they make the radio wheel an item that can be separated, screwed in or rotate. I can see kids or curious adults trying to turn it and breaking it.
I think if it can rotate or be made of metal it will not be so prone to breakage.
I am supposed to receive replacements later this week!!!!
Fred,
The parts are separate, but they are glued to the shell when assembled. The parts that you will receive will be separate, you will have to punch out or drill out the what remains of the broken ones to install them.

Just wanted to close this issue by saying thank you to Bachmann!!!!!!!!!!
Replacement parts were mailed out to me and I received them Friday Sep 7.
Been really busy with work and kids schedules but I will install the parts this up coming
weekend.
Again, a BIG thank you to all at Bachmann for attention to this issue it is very
appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Parts arrived in todays mail.
They are black and look good.
This weekend I will cut the broken tops off with and exacto saw and install the new
radio-antannae parts. They have a long stem that can install nicely once i drill out the
stem piece.
Thanks again I will post once I get the job done. My wife bought a NEW camera for my
birthday and it has the attachments to transfer photos. If I can figure this out I will post pictures.
