Thomas & Friends / Re: New Acquisitions

This evening, my family and I celebrated my 22nd birthday (my actual birthday is November 2nd), and two of my gifts were Bachmann Oliver and the new salt wagon. Oliver runs very well, and I'm glad to finally have a salt wagon in my collection. :) All in all, it was a great birthday, and both these Bachmann Thomas and Friends items are great!

Go on and discuss the potential for N Scale.

That's what Tomix do. They manufacture N scale Thomas trains, though they're primarily for the Japanese market (if I'm not mistaken).

Since the tooling already exists with three other models, I wouldn't be surprised if Paxton will be released later this year. However, I will patiently wait if that is not the case.

And I think it would be a great gimmick to make Pinchy poseable, so it wouldn't have to always rest on top of Diesel 10.

Nice announcements. I'm surprised that the Spiteful Brake Van has been announced for LS! For someone who doesn't collect LS, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what the model will look like. As for the rest, I can't wait to see, either. And I find it nice to see more ventilated vans for the HO range.

Just want to hear opinions, but since we have the narrow gauge line underway, is it possible we could get Mr. Percival this year?

Good to know. Reminds me of when I lived in NZ and visited Australia. :)

That's awesome! Thanks for sharing the picture. Did your Twitter feed say where the picture was from?

I have to say that I really like the Rosie model. It has great detail, and I am kind of glad they stuck to the pre-Season 21 coloration, as we have yet to see that livery in the series proper.

All I can say is that I'm very, very impressed. Great work, ThomasFan247!

Or they could please both sides of this debate, and just produce both liveries.

As nice as that would be. I don't see that happening.

I agree. I feel that releasing the same engine character but with two different liveries (like they do in Wooden Railway, Take-N-Play, etc.) would be rather expensive for Bachmann to do. Granted, there are variations on Thomas (original, celebration, and with a snowplow), but I agree with thomasj219.

A thought just came to me. If they did Winston as a model, maybe they can do skiff. They're both small and from the CGI series so I don't think it's that much of a stretch. I doubt they'd do it in 2017 as Winston just came out and they need time to analyze sales. Anyways what do you guys think of a Bachmann Skiff?

Skiff would be a great idea! However, would Skiff be motorized or non-motorized? I can see a Skiff model go either way.

I whole-heartedly agree on a sliding door van! It would be a great gimmick for consumers. And add any one of the above faces and, boom, you've got a great product.
