Hi All-
I am about ready to start hacking on my new, beautiful Forney in order to create a Lawndale #1 0-4-4T and have identified eleven or so major changes to make on the locomotive.
I am having some trouble locating a detail part- an Eames brake system muffler- which is sort of like a fluted coffee can on a post.
Any suggestions on who might have one, or how to scratchbuild a can with flutes?

Matt, I am not sure if you can use this as the Eames the brake, but I think it would be close, you could do a little modifyin' :D Here's the lingk

Let us know if you find anything suitable for use as the Eames brake diaphragm unit. It is shaped something like today's "plumber's helper" toilet plunger. Very few prototype examples remain today. One sample I'm aware of is on the W&W 2-6-0 in Waynesburg, PA.
The muffler is this can type item on the end of the pipe in front of and on top of the cab:

Coronado Scale models in Phoenix have the Eames diaphragm brake cylinder in their range of O scale brass castings, as well as the round cylindrical style on vacuum brake cylinder used on some Maine Two Foot lines such as the Bridgton.
