I have a trainmaster with QSI sounds and reverse. It is in a box that looks like Williams, but is plain white with QSI markings only. There is no markings or logo's on any of the parts, but the parts are identical/interchangeable with Williams. Maybe QSI bought parts/locomotives from the same place Williams did and installed their own equipment, then sold them thru Williams.

MTH has made convertable locomotives before, maybe you could contact them and get a set of trucks that are already flanged for scale.

Bachman, I'm still waiting for answers to my questions. Also where can I get connectors that fit that plug?

On the reverse boards there is a connector labeled "slave motors" , what is this for? small fan motors?, extra truck motors?, does it reverse direction?, how many amps will it handle?

The old mechanical will get magnetized over time and will not cycle.

Universal motors will run on AC or DC ( hence the name "universal" ). Lionel motors have always been able to run on DC, however the E-units will not. To operate a pullmor locomotive on DC you have to disconnect the E-unit, and reverse track polarity to reverse the direction of the locomotive.                    BJ

Question is will this car be delivered before Dec. 31,2010? Or should it be called the 2011 or 2012 car instead.

I purchased a SD-45 some time back that came in a box that looks like Williams, but without any logo. It has a sticker on the end that says "QSI Santa Fe SD-45. " All the handrails and add-ons are in a plastic bag. Compared to my Williams SD-45 it is a exact copy, except no logos anywhere on or in the unit, nowhere. I wonder who actually made the components.

Yes, k-line made 072 curves in 027 height. They also made 054,042,031,and 027.

How about some GP 30's, don't care much about roadnames, just Williams quality and prices.

You didn't answer my question!  I don't want to have to sync. them everytime. I want to connect them together so I don't have to. Maybe I posted this in the wrong place, if so tell me where I need to post it.

I run an ABBA all powered set of ALCO P's on my layout. It's a pain to keep them all in sync. Can I link all the reverse boards together so that they will get their signal from just one? I know I will have to run a wire from unit to unit.    Thank you    bj
