Title: New Bachmann DD40AX (DCC)
Post by: Vonzack on April 01, 2011, 04:39:18 AM
Hi,

I have one of the new DD40AXs (Part No. 62252) and don't seem to be able to program its speed curve properly. I'm using the JMRI DecoderPro software and the software detects the chip as an EZ Command Decoder 4 Function (36-550). Is this the correct chip?

I can set the speed curve and write it to the chip (I can read back CVs 67-94), but when I try to set CV29 to 54 to use the speed curve it doesn't take and when I read it back it has been reset to 38.

Am I missing something?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I need to match speed match this to use it in a consist, it's way faster than my other locos.

Thanks.

It doesn't have a speed table function. Only Vmin, Accel, Decel rates. No Vmax or Vmid. They are a very basic decoder.
