General Discussion / Re: Repair Time

Just a final update.  I got both loco's back yesterday.  I ran them tonight a both run very smooth.  They didn't repair the locos, they replaced them.  My only minor complaint is that I sent in two different road numbers, one of them was the one headlight version the other was the double headlight variety.   What I got back was the two of the exact same model and road number.

I'm just keep what I have since they both run well.

Well I didn't get a call back so I waited another week and call again.  I actually got someone to answer the phone this time.  She did find my RO# in the system, but had no idea on how long the repair would take.  I was happy that at least the items had finally been checked in.  Given this pace I'll probably wait another 2 to 3 weeks before checking back.

Thanks, I called this morning and left a message.  I'm not in a huge hurry to get the items back, I just want to make sure they are in the system and not misplaced.  The email reply indicated my items weren't in the system yet, which after this much time concerns me.

Wow, a lot great looking layouts.  Here are a few of mine.  I still have a long ways to go!  Here is a link to a few more construction shots and a few prototype shots.    http://toddryburnphotography.com/p463579188

Just curious what I should expect related to repair time.  I sent in two steam engines a month ago for repair and haven't heard anything back, is that normal?  I sent it UPS and it was signed for so I know the package got there.  I've tried following up with email three times.  The first time I got an email back stating to check back in a few days.  The last two emails have not been responded to.  Perhaps there is a huge backlog, but it I would think there could be a simple update saying that the items have been received with a ballpark estimate on timing.

Is this type of thing normal or would you have expected to hear something after a month?

Thanks,
Todd
